Hello. I had already spoken with another doctor here, but they don't seem to be online right now. First, here's the backstory (very long, probably enough if you just skim it) and then my current situation and question. **Backstory:** "I am 20 years old. About 1.5 months ago, I trapped my testicles while playing sports and had pain for a few days starting in the evening. This completely disappeared. About 2 weeks later (about 4 weeks ago), I had pain again (usually quite mild: 1/10). Two weeks ago, the pain got a bit worse (about 3/10), and I experienced more severe pain a few times while urinating, so I went to the doctor, who sent me to the emergency room to rule out torsion. There, an ultrasound, a rapid urine test, and (the next day) a CT scan (to rule out stones in the urinary tract) were performed. All results were good, and I was discharged with the assumption that a stone that had been passed before going to the emergency room was the cause. I continued to have mild pain (1 to 2/10) and a few times, pain while urinating. Since this did not improve, I wrote to a urologist here last Thursday, who thought 'irritation, subclinical infection of the (para)testicle' was most likely and said I should take Diclofenac, cool and rest over the weekend, and see a urologist if there was no improvement. Taking Diclofenac reduced my pain, and I stopped taking it on Monday. On Tuesday, I felt a bit worse again, but on Wednesday, the pain seemed to be gone, and only occasional mild tingling could be felt. Based on this improvement, I decided to go on a trip that had been planned earlier. On Thursday, I had occasional brief mild pain, still walked with a slight limp to avoid and minimize pain. On Friday, I walked a lot and still limped slightly. The pain is quite mild during walking (not always present) and almost non-existent when sitting. (Now for the question, excuse the long backstory) Now, I hardly have any pain when sitting or lying down, but I noticed over the last few days that one testicle is larger than the other (especially in length), the size difference is not drastic but also not minimal, I would claim that it is about the borderline where it could be normal and harmless but also worrisome. Whether this size difference was present earlier, I cannot say. The size seems relatively constant over the last few days. I also notice that sometimes one testicle looks different from the other in terms of skin. And as I understand it, it's not uncommon for epididymitis - sometimes there's a small bump at the back of the (smaller) left testicle. The testicles also sometimes appear slightly reddish. Is all this normal for epididymitis? I would be out of the country until Monday evening, should I take it easy here, or is it okay if I go for walks these days? And should I see a urologist when I get back, and how urgent would that be? Thank you for your help, and I apologize for the length of this question." The doctor then said I should rest, take Diclofenac or Ibuprofen, and have an ultrasound when I get back. **Now my current question:** Last night, I noticed that it seemed like the left testicle had shifted slightly to the right in the scrotum. No pain (under relatively mild alcohol influence). I also had a kind of white line on the right side that looked a bit like stretch marks. I could "put the testicle back in its place" with my hands without pain or anything like that. The testicles look normal again today, maybe slightly reddened (both) as in the previous days. But otherwise relatively symmetrical and good (in my opinion). Today, I did some walking and had mild pain, as in the previous days. Now that I've come home, I had mild pain in the left testicle. After about an hour of rest and a Diclofenac, the pain has almost completely subsided while resting and is minimal even when moving. However, I have been paranoid (since the beginning of the pain a month ago) that it might be torsion. In the hospital, this was ruled out by the ultrasound, as I understood it, and rationally thinking, it seems extremely unlikely now, but I would still appreciate a professional assessment of the situation, and I would be very grateful for that.
